This randomised controlled trial investigated the effects of foot reflexology on vasomotor symptoms and quality of life in 120 women aged 40–60 experiencing menopausal complaints. Participants were assigned to either a reflexology group, which received specific foot reflexology treatments, or a control group, which received nonspecific foot massage. The results showed that women in the reflexology group experienced significantly greater reductions in hot flashes, sweats, and night sweats compared with the control group, alongside improvements in overall quality of life, including physical, psychosocial, and sexual domains. The authors conclude that foot reflexology may be an effective complementary approach for reducing vasomotor symptoms and enhancing quality of life during menopause.
